Thai Yoga Therapy Training with Stefani Wilton

Taught by Stefani Wilton of Mandorla Yoga, a Registered Massage Therapist, Certified Yoga Therapist with the IAYT, and an Experienced-Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance, these workshops are designed to support Massage Therapists and Yoga Teachers alike in learning to incorporate this modality into group yoga classes, private yoga sessions and massage therapy appointments. Taught in an accessible manner, there are no pre-requisites for attending this course. Enthusiasts and practitioners of other healing modalities are encouraged to attend. This is a modality that you can share with friends, family, children and most importantly, yourself. 

You may choose to register for the entire training, or for individual weekends or modules.

Thai Yoga Therapy for Vata Dosha, Soothing Anxiety     Oct. 14th-15th-16th 2017

Friday, October 13th, 6pm to 9pm

  • What is Thai Yoga Therapy and how can it help with feelings of overwhelm or anxiety? Overview of Ayurveda and strategies for supporting Vata Dosha.
  • Experience a guided Thai Yoga Therapy session that is geared toward supporting one another through times of overwhelm or uncertainty.
  • Experience Yoga Therapy techniques for balancing Vata dosha including: an introduction to Marma Therapy, Mudra, Mantra and Pranayama
  • Experience Thai Yoga Massage and Yoga Asana for balancing Vata dosha and soothing anxiety

Thai Yoga Therapy for Yoga Teachers, Massage Therapists and Enthusiasts
Saturday, October 14th, 11am to 3:30pm

  • Join with Stefani to learn specific Thai Yoga Therapy techniques for working with Vata Dosha including Thai Yoga Massage and Stretching within yoga postures
  • This class is geared toward yoga teachers, massage therapists and those who have a passion for supporting themselves and others with this healing modality. We will cover the grounding Earth series of postures and movements that include forward folds, prone postures and stabilizing poses.
  • We will discuss how to incorporate this healing modality into group yoga classes as well as private yoga sessions, massage therapy sessions and so much more.

Thai Yoga Fusion Yoga Class, drop ins and passes allowed, preregistration strongly recommended!
aturday, October 14th, 4pm to 5:30pm

  • Join with Stefani for this special Thai Yoga Fusion class, focused on the Earth Element, where we will enjoy a beautiful blend of Yin, Restorative, Vinyasa and Thai Yoga Massage. If you do not have a partner to attend with, we can find one for you. The class begins with a grounding yin and vinyasa practice, before we move into some guided partner work where we end with supported restorative postures with delicious hands on assists.

Marma Therapy and Soothing Energy work for Vata Dosha - Soothing Anxiety - Saturday, October 14th, 6pm to 9pm

  • In this evening session we will explore Prana Chikitsa (yogic energy work), for grounding and settling the mind and working with the energy systems of the body. Experience and learn about aromatherapy, mudra, mantra and marma therapy for Vata Dosha. This class is accessible to all as it does not involve asana or movement. You will have the opportunity to both receive and learn how to offer this gentle and restorative modality.

Sunday, October 15th, 7:30am to 3:30pm

  • Experience and learn the full Thai Yoga Therapy flow for Vata Dosha and how to weave in all of the supportive techniques including asana, pranayama, mudra, mantra, aromatherapy and marma therapy.

  • What is Thai Yoga Therapy for Pitta Dosha and how can it help with stress and Irritability?
  • Experience a guided Thai Yoga Therapy session that is geared toward supporting one another through feelings of stress and irritability. We will explore releasing the hips and opening the heart while supporting one another in ‘letting go’ of tension, stress and irritability.
  • Experience Yoga Therapy techniques for balancing Pitta dosha including: an introduction to Marma Therapy, Mudra, Mantra and Pranayama
  • Experience Thai Yoga Massage and Yoga Asana for balancing Pitta dosha and soothing irritability

Thai Yoga Therapy for Yoga Teachers, Bodyworkers and Enthusiasts, Saturday, Nov. 18th, 11am to 3:30pm

  • Join with Stefani to learn specific Thai Yoga Therapy techniques for working with Pitta Dosha including Thai Yoga Massage and Stretching within yoga postures
  • This class is geared toward yoga teachers, massage therapists and those who have a passion for supporting themselves and others with this healing modality. We will cover the opening Water and Air series of postures and movements that include supine poses and hip openers.
  • We will discuss how to incorporate this healing modality into group yoga classes as well as private yoga sessions, massage therapy sessions and so much more.

Thai Yoga Fusion, a Water and Air Practice for Releasing the hips and Opening the Heart, Saturday, Nov. 18th, 4pm to 5:30pm

  • Join with Stefani for this special Thai Yoga Fusion class, focused on the Air and Water Elements, where we will enjoy a beautiful blend of Yin, Restorative, Vinyasa and Thai Yoga Massage. If you do not have a partner to attend with, we can find one for you. The class begins with a peaceful yin and vinyasa practice, before we segway into some guided partner work where we end with supported restorative postures with hands delicious hands on assists.

Marma Therapy and Soothing Energy work for Pitta Dosha - for Stress and Irritability, Saturday, Nov. 18th, 6pm to 9pm

  • In this evening session we will explore yoga therapy techniques for releasing stress, soothing irritability and working with the energy system of the body. Experience and learn about aromatherapy, mudras, mantras and marma therapy points for Pitta Dosha.
  • This practice will include an introduction to Thai Yoga Massage for the face and abdomen. Students are always welcome to sit out on any technique that makes them feel uncomfortable. You do not have to experience or perform abdominal massage. We can give you an alternate pose or technique to work with!

Thai Yoga therapy in Practice for Pitta Dosha, Sunday, Nov. 19th, 7am to 3:30pm

  • Experience and learn the full Thai Yoga Therapy flow for Pitta Dosha including rocking techniques and techniques for releasing tension that is held in the face, neck and shoulders. Learn how to weave in all of the supportive techniques including asana, pranayama, mudra, mantra, aromatherapy and marma therapy.

  • Experience a guided Thai Yoga Therapy session that is geared toward supporting one another through feelings of depression and fatigue. We will explore opening the heart and freeing the breath through a Thai Yoga Therapy flow designed to release the chest, back and shoulders.
  • Experience Yoga Therapy techniques for balancing Kapha dosha including: an introduction to Marma Therapy, Mudra, Mantra and Pranayama
  • Experience Thai Yoga Massage and Yoga Asana for balancing kapha dosha and alleviating depression and fatigue

  • Join with Stefani to learn specific Thai Yoga Therapy techniques for working with Kapha Dosha including Thai Yoga Massage and Stretching within yoga postures
